OUR IMPACT ON THE PLANET
Ethically Made
At present, all our manufacturing takes place in Europe, primarily in Latvia, Portugal and Italy. This means that these production facilities are regulated under European standards which leads to safe working conditions, fair wages and no exploitation of people. Due to the close proximity of these factories to our HQ, we have been able to build strong relationships with our manufacturers, built on trust. Therefore, we know how they work, and they know how we think.
Sustainable Materials
Our company was founded with sustainability at its core. Since day one, our clothing and products have been sustainably made. We use recycled polyester which is made using either reclaimed ocean waste (e.g. fishing nets), discarded water bottles or post-consumer waste. We also use GOTS certified organic cotton. Our trims are made from natural fibres including hemp, bamboo, flax and vegan leather. Buttons and zippers are tested for harmful substances and have STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® status.
Eco Impact
In order to maximise our positive impact on the planet, we focus primarily on the “Protection and Conservation of Coastal and Marine Ecosystems”. This is what we know best, where most of our customers live or play and where we believe we can have the most influence. We have built our sustainability plan on four strong pillars that will ensure our business and environmental goals are always aligned: Eco Fabrics, Ocean Health, Coastal Communities and Climate Action.
